Position: Outside Sales Rep. / NCDOT Project Rep.
Location: Asheville, NC
Job Description: Sells ready mix concrete and construction materials and acts as project manager for all NCDOT/Infrastructure work.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain, strengthen, and develop new and existing relationships with our customer base
2. Research projects that are coming out to bid through available resources working in conjunction with technical review to bid and procure work
3. Collaborate with SCM personnel in the field to support project success
4. Maintain sales reports such as a backlog to track and forecast work
5. Communicate daily with various SCM departments to help ensure quality customer service
6. Become familiar with our software systems as they pertain to production and quality control
7. Develop a working knowledge of technical specifications and industry trends
8. Conduct effective contract negotiations for prospective projects

1. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Must be a proactive, self-motivated, self-starter who is results driven
3. Must be discreet, as position requires the handling of confidential information
4. Good computer operating skills (general windows applications)
5. Must possess excellent math skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational skills as well as team building skills
6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in an effort to resolve customer issues while protecting company interests
