Southern Concrete Materials has played an essential role in laying the foundation of Asheville, Hendersonville, and the surrounding communities. We began as Asheville Concrete Materials, Inc., but expanded significantly over the following years and are proud to say that we are now headquartered in our home city.

The Asheville/Hendersonville division of SCM serves the Central Region, stretching from Burnsville all the way to Brevard. Our value of “Convenience” holds strong here, as the area currently houses one of our precast plants, several construction materials sales centers, and nine concrete plants! SCM can serve anyone in the Asheville area quickly and efficiently, with a central dispatch center, 65 ready-mix trucks, top-tier sales support, and a quality control lab.

Over the years, SCM has acted as an integral partner in developing the Asheville that we know today, from numerous parking lots to enormous structures that house hundreds of jobs. Projects include the well-known Mission Hospital as well as various town resources, namely the City of Asheville parking decks, the Buncombe County Courthouse, the Fletcher Town Hall, and the New Henderson County Courthouse. We’ve also served projects such as Brevard College Music Hall and UNCA student dorm buildings. Other projects involve lodging and entertainment, including the Cambria, Indigo and Aloft Hotels, as well as the Asheville Art Museum and various popular brewing companies.
