How We Focus On Safety

It is our top priority to achieve zero accidents and injuries through our corporate safety program. By focusing on new hire safety training, weekly plant talks, quarterly online training, and in-person sessions, we continue to educate our employees so they can perform their job tasks safely and productively. Our required training programs include:

  • Forklift Operations
  • Boom Truck
  • Confined Space Operations
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Mixer Truck Rollover
  • Emergency Response
  • Lock Out/Tag Out
  • As well as others that may vary due to job description and specific hazards
“Each person who leaves their home for work in the morning should return home in the evening in good health.”

We provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to workers in safety-sensitive positions. Additionally, employees are under the company and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol testing program to ensure that no team member is working under the influence of any substance.

Each person who leaves their home for work in the morning should return home in the evening in good health. Southern Concrete Materials is devoted to having the best safety program within our industry.
